Gerrit Meyerheim

I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at LMU Munich. I received my Ph.D. from LMU in 2018 and subsequently joined the Department of Economics.

My research is in macroeconomics, economic growth, inequality, political economy, and macro-finance/asset pricing. A common theme in my work is how long-run macroeconomic forces shape inequality, development, and financial-market outcomes.

At LMU, I teach graduate level courses on macroeconomics, including growth and business cycles, as well as political economy.
